Joel Alcorn was the lead designer as part of team, during his studies at QUT. The project went on to win the AIA National Award for Small projects and the William Hodgen Award for Building of the Year

A rural agricultural shed for use by the Bicentennial National Trail (BNT)…[with] the previous facilities destroyed in 2011’s January flash flooding” (AIA, 2012, 236). The site is an area of significant habitat and for this reason the design not only replaced the existing facilities but also is sensitive to enhancing the high biodiversity of the region through lowimpact design, careful site placement, and sensitive, landscape design.” (AIA, 2012, 237)
